Steinweden Stahl invests in infrastructure

Frankfurt am Main, 16th. of June 2010. Steinweden Stahl has started the final major changes in it’s infrastructure and exchanges it’s second SWF heavy duty lifting crane with Konecranes CXT components.

Steinweden Stahl is an independent medium-sized steel wholesaler located in the Rhein-Main region, just in the centre of Germany. We have been offering our customers in trade and industry flexible and reliable service since 1921, both throughout Germany and abroad.

Steinweden Stahl launched in 2008 a investment program with a broad range of planned changes in it’s infrastructure for the next three years. As part of this program the existing cranes in the Frankfurt warehouse will be exchanged one by one for a better reliability and reduced operting costs.

With the technical support of Konecranes Germany the three existing 5 ton SWF/ Donges heavy duty cranes have been maintained and overhauled and two of those cranes have been exchanged completely. Steinweden Stahl choosed for the exchange of the lifting components the CXT 400 crane series built by Konecranes (Finland), because of it’s compact design, less weight, increased security and modern lifting technology. The exchange of the cranes will be finished in the end of June 2010 and guarantee reliable services in the next years to come.

New CXT 4041 Stahl Konecranes are part of the investments in the Steinweden Stahl infrastructure.
